'Bed Head' Hair Styling Heroes

I'm a big advocate of washing my hair and then putting in loads of product to make it appear messy and give it that 'just got out of bed look'. And believe me, by now I've tried every single texturising spray out there. But I've also realised that I can't justify spending more than £5 on a hair styling product as I go through them so quickly. Enter a visit to Superdrug....

I've never tried the new(ish) Batiste Styling Sprays partially because I bloody hate their dry shampoo but the Texturising Styling Spray just fell into my basket and made it's way home with me. I love it. Since my beloved Tresemme Perfectly Undone Texturising Spray was discontinued, I've been looking for a relatively cheap texturising spray that doesn't make my hair feel like there's loads of product in it and the Batiste one is great. It's got quite a bit of hold and gives my hair the artfully messy look I love. I spray it on the ends of my hair to give a bit more volume and voila. I'm out of the door.

But for volume, because I don't use a volumising shampoo anymore, I needed a spray that gave a bit of oomph. The VO5 Plump It Up BackComb Spray is actually brilliant. I spray my roots with and give my hair a bit of a jush and my hair has so much more volume. It has a good amount of hold but doesn't make my hair look clumpy.

And for dry skin gals, I've been using the Grow Gorgeous Hair Growth Serum on my hair line to prevent any flakey skin - I have quite a large scar that runs across my head and often I get flakey skin there so I've been using this to keep the skin moisturised and prevent any flakey skin bits!
