Eating in the UAE

Whilst we're all desperate for a holiday at the moment, I've been very much enjoying the current time to reflect back upon my past travel experiences and some of my favourite food places. I don't know about any of you, but one of the things I've found myself missing the most has been eating out and discovering all sorts of new food places across the world. Because let's be honest, a great way to start to understand a country and it's culture is through eating the food there (and whilst the UK has a lot to offer, it's never the same as being abroad). And don't forget you can check out my travel page for all my own travel food experiences!

The UAE is one of those countries that I've managed to have a flying visit through and have always been intrigued by the variety of food available - so with my bucket list building up, I thought I'd share a list of the food and places I'm desperate to try. And of course, I had to visit TripAdvisor to kick off my list...

Catch at St Regis Catch is one of those buzzy LA restaurants that has opened a location in Abu Dhabi - which is one of my fave aspects of the UAE. Whilst I'm unlikely to be heading to LA anytime soon, the chance of me going to Catch is much higher. Catch is one of those places I always see on vlogs and as a serious sushi fan - it looks right up my street. If you're wanting to book somewhere like catch, don't forget to use Squaremeal to take the hassle out of booking.

Asil Asil is a Lebanese and Moroccan restaurant that I see everywhere - and I think when in the Middle East, why not branch out and try middle eastern food? I'm such a fan of Lebanese food in general and this had such good reviews that it's definitely high on my list!

Cheesecake Factory Now compared to the rest of the places on my list, any Americans may be turning up their nose here - but there is a Cheesecake Factory in Dubai! And as a Brit, I'm desperate to try it mainly for the novelty factor but can you blame me... No snobs allowed here thank you very much.

Madang Korean Restaurant Korean food is one of those that I've never really fully explored - I've had it here and there but never as a full experience and I'm desperate to! I've heard such good things about Madang Korean and it's rated so highly that it's definitely top of my list. I'm a huge fan of asian food generally - so I can't see anything here that I wouldn't like!

Jones the Grocer Now this is another one of those Instagram hotspots that looks like it offers a good variety of healthy brunch and lunch options. I'm all about those healthy eats. When in a hot country, it's always important to try and remain as hydrated as possible by eating plenty of fruit and veg - so I'm all about those healthy and fresh eats.

Have you been to the UAE? What were your thoughts on the food? Any places I need to go?
