Sleep No More: Natalia Vodianova by Mert and Marcus

December issues are starting to flood the magazine racks at Borders and I have personally been sorely disappointed with the choices. One thing that particularly annoys me is the sheer quantity of actresses on the covers of these fashion magazines and the lack of actual models! However, although Marion Cotillard is featured on the cover, the editorial spread makes up for it.

The deep tones and titanic-esque theme really adds a huge amount of drama to a spread that could be quite boring. The red and scarlet hues mirror colours typically associated with the festive season and do tie in the spread with the winter holiday. Overall, I adore the dramatic set and thematic elements which really do add the twist on a traditional editorial spread.
