Doutzen Kroes for British Vogue

Doutzen Kroes, known for her title as a Victoria's Secret Angel, has been featured in the editorial spread for the January issue of British Vogue. The blonde bombshell is typically seen scantily clad walking down the runway, but her feature set around the beach makes her look like a stunning mermaid. Her beautifully tanned skin and natural looking make up really does epitomise 'beach babe' and the almost excessive use of tweed and straw only mirror this. The neutral and earthy tones echoed throughout the spread add the much needed natural and hollistic look that is not always associated with the Winter season! However, I don't think anyones mind would be on the season when looking through the spread. Doutzen looks simply incredible (almost better than in sultry lingerie!). 

The contrasting looks to her typical barbie-esque makeup at VS does show a versatility that not all Angels possess, which in my opinion makes Doutzen more valuable as she would have a successful modelling career even if she was not an Angel. I sincerely hope that the brand does not over manufacture her and allows her to have a career in high fashion as well as catalog lingerie.

I adore it when Victoria's Secret models get featured in such high fashion magazines as it just reminds us that they are more than sex bombs but are models too.
