One of my favourite parts of summer is the introduction of bright colours into my typically dark wardrobe (ignore the black t-shirt, folks) and this also gives the opportunity for bright lip colours! It definitely takes a bit of confidence to leave the house with lips this fluorescent but fortunately I've started to grow in confidence and don't mind a pair of bright pink lips!

I have actually fallen head over heels for Perrie from the Little Mix for Collection range - it's perfectly pink and almost neon - it's gorgeous and perfect to wear with an understated eye (try the one from my

sunkissed makeup tutorial

!) Likewise with the Jesy lipstick however, the lipsticks are a little bit greasy so will need to be topped up quite regularly but because of the colour, it's worth a few trips to the loo for a top up. I would definitely recommend a lip liner due to the texture of the lipstick - my gut instinct says they're likely to bleed and believe me, scrubbing at a lipstick stained chin in a public bathroom just isn't worth it.

Beauty bloggers across the UK are absolutely in love with the Boujois Rogue Edition lipsticks which are actually matte and super cute! This is the colour Flamenco which is flattering for all skin tones and I must say, it lasts forever - no need for top ups here! The only issue is if you reapply, it does go a bit clumpy and it smells well, interesting and slightly chemically but it's the least of your problems.

And of course, the Revlon colour burst balms are ideal for your understated (yet still bright) daily looks, the balm can be built up in intensity so you could tone it down relatively easy.

((Apologies for these pictures, I look a bit like the hunchback of notre dame in that last picture!))
