The Matte Lip
Summer is all about dewy fresh natural "your skin but better" makeup but with winter comes the more matte, darker toned colours that still hold a lovely warmth and the matte lip. Theres something wonderful about a matte lip especially when it's a bold colour.
One of my ultimate winter lipsticks has to be Sleek's "Dare" which is a deep plum with blue undertones and lasts literally such a long time! I wore it to the Little Black Dress Icons Collection launch and it lasted all night with me drinking and eating which quite frankly is a feat in itself! Plus it's quite reasonably priced - definitely under £8.
Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks which actually apply like a gloss on a doefoot applicator are so brilliant! There are about five different colour options and I have Ole Flamingo (the bright pink) and Peach Club which is an orange coral colour. Both are a thick consistency and an amazing matte colour that lasts forever! The only issue is when you try to reapply, it does go a bit funny!
Then we're onto a favourite - although not necessarily an autumnal colour; Barry M Matte Lipstick in LPS3 (still upset that this doesn't have a brilliant name). It's a bright pink which I would normally say was a summer colour but there is something about the matteness of it that makes it great for a burst of brightness for autumn especially if you're not a plum or wine red kind of girl.
