Get the Look: Casual Evening Makeup
I love new makeup and when I was sent this vast array of cosmetics from Pur Minerals and Cargo Cosmetics, I was ecstatic! So I hastily got to work with putting together quite a simple makeup look - one that I find myself wearing when I'm heading out for the evening but don't want to wear eye makeup that is too heavy.
One of the things I was most excited about was the Liquid Veil Foundation which is an incredible aerosol can of foundation - rather weird to spray on! But the coverage is almost flawless and it's gorgeous. However, I did apply it over the Pore Refining Primer which has been my go to primer of the moment as it's lovely and doesn't make my skin feel too silicone-like.
Following the face primer, I applied the eye shadow primer because let's face it, there is nothing worse that when your eyeshadow creases! It provided a lovely base for the Pur Minerals eyeshadow in the shade Adore which I used as my base lid colour. I then took Sidekick from the same palette in the crease and blended it because I didn't want the look to be too bold! Then I used a liquid liner for my classic cat eye. (Fun fact: my brother once told me that if he ever had to describe me to someone, he would instantly say "liquid liner"). Then I used Pur Minerals Big Look Mascara which gives a lovely natural lash look - I had to use several coats to get bolder lashes - but its wonderful for lower lashes.
Then for my favourite part, the Contour Palette in Monaco the blush is so gorgeous- the perfect natural shade that gives a lovely glow to the cheeks. The highlight is also gorgeous and catches the light beautifully without it containing glitter. I didn't contour much, but the contour is a lovely shade, quite warm toned so ideal if you're looking for a bronzey-contour shade.
What do you think of the look? What's your go to makeup look when you head out for the evening?
