May Beauty Favourites
First off, apologies for neglecting this blog a little bit but my room is currently in boxes as I'm moving in about three weeks which means the vast majority of my stash is packed away.
But with every month comes a flurry of favourites videos and blog posts so I decided to share some of mine!
I've been loving eyeshadows lately and I know this seems silly as I'm a beauty blogger but up to about five months ago, I owned a single eyeshadow palette. Yes, just one. So late one night when I found myself on the Makeup Revolution website, I picked up this bad boy, the
I heart Makeup Obsession Pure Cult palette
.
When I wear eyeshadow, I opt for neutral tones so this eyeshadow palette is perfect as it's a mix of shimmery and matte shades which makes it perfect for both day and night. The pigmentation as with most Makeup Revolution palettes, the pigmentation is okay at first but it builds up really well and for £3.99 I'm not one to complain. Most of Makeup Revolution's products are dupes of some sort but I'm unsure as to which this is for - sorry!
Continuing the theme with eyeshadow palettes, I'm staying firmly in the drugstore aisle with two matte eyeshadow palettes from
W7; In the City and In the Mood
and I bought both for £8. These are dupes for the Naked Basics which are so far out of my price range for what they are, I couldn't justify buying them. I bought them off ebay simply because W7 are a nightmare to get hold of (I think you can find them in Next?) but for the price I couldn't complain. I've been wearing Wink from In the Mood all over my lid with a bit of Autumn from In the City in the crease along with my signature winged eyeliner. They come packaged in little tins and they're so lovely! The pigmentation is brilliant and they build really well - they last all day which is something of upmost importance.
And final eyeshadow part is the
bareMinerals 5 in 1 Eyeshadow BB
in Moss. This little thing landed up in my postbox and I was slightly dubious with the colour as it's somewhat out of my comfort zone but it's a really lovely cement esque shade which looks lovely with a deeper grey in the outer crease. The eyeshadow has a little doe foot applicator, a lot like its Armani counterpart. A brilliant base with ace lasting power and I'm definitely going to try and get my hands on some other shades!
Despite calling myself a beauty blogger, I've never owned a MAC product but this
Lip Liner in Stripdown
was my first MAC purchase. It's so gorgeous and very nineties without delving too much into Kylie Jenner's territory. I love it. Along with this nude, I've been loving another
Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick in You're a Star
which is a very Velvet Teddy type lipstick that looks great over Stripdown liner.
Yet another dupe I've fallen in love with has been
Maybelline Color Drama in Keep it Classy
which is apparently a Nars Satin Lip Colour dupe. It's a mauvey pink colour that lasts all day and just looks lovely. I love a good matte lip which is why I've been loving this
OCC Lip Tar in Pagan
which is slightly out of season now (definitely more of an autumn winter colour) but it looks brilliant on a night out.
And the final product will always be a winner in my books; the
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper.
I get it off Amazon because it's not stocked in the UK but it is
the
best liquid liner in the business. It lasts all day and one pen lasts forever. Worth every penny.
