Summer Moisturisers

In winter I'm all aboard the heavy moisturisers and thick balm cleansers bandwagon as my skin seems to shrivel up and flake off (I'm sorry for that glorious mental image) but in summer, it goes the opposite way and the idea of using a moisturiser doesn't appeal in the

slightest.

Which is why I pack the very necessary moisture (even for combination skin) at night so I don't risk my foundation sliding off my face during the day.

The

Origins Drink Me Up Intensive

is a relatively light moisture mask and I love this for when my skin isn't particularly dry but I know it will be in a couple of days. With this, a little goes a long way so it lasts forever as its quite a thin consistency but it really packs a punch. I find this works well in both winter and summer and I also love it for plane journeys to act as a protective layer to stop my skin drying out at all. It's lovely. I would recommend this for combination skin as well as like I said, it's quite a light formula.

But when my skin is definitely on the drier side or I've had a headache (a sign of dehydration), I reach for a relatively new addition to my collection, the

Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream

.

The consistency of this is definitely far thicker than anything else I've had but it's absolutely brilliant. It does what it says on the tin, it's incredibly nourishing and I love how it feels on my skin. It's so thick and creamy that it really does pack a punch and I notice a massive difference the morning after. Avocado is known for being a key ingredient moisturising masks and it really works as part of this as well.
