Last Minute Halloween Makeup

So, Halloween is right around the corner and you have no idea what to do...

A cat perhaps? A sexy something or other?

I honestly believe that your makeup is the first step to a halloween outfit - pair it with black and you have a suitable outfit that won't have party guests rolling their eyes at you.

This isn't a specific halloween "look" but it's more of a gothic inspired, slightly haunted look that really goes with any outfit.

The first step is to use a pale foundation, I used a cheap as chips one (Makeup Academy?) that was literally the palest colour I could find in superdrug but you can also get completely white foundation at fancy dress shops! Then the way to get the haunted, slightly dead look is to contour with a black or grey foundation. I used a Rimmel Eyeshadow that was a matte black and made sure I didn't go in too heavy but it's a really great way to add a deathly hue to your makeup. Then I used the same eyeshadow on my eyes and really made sure to work it into my eye socket to achieve a slightly hollow look. And then using the Rimmel Liquid Liner, I sharpened up my eye makeup by doing a cat eye. I then smudged the Rimmel Exaggerate Kohl liner to add a smoky edge to my eyes.

For the lips, I dabbed on the Rimmel Matte Lipstick in "Wicked" and then lined my lips with the liquid liner to really sharpen them up.

And voila! This is completely unscary but I think it would look wicked (no pun intended) with some coated jeans (or leather trousers if you dare) and a floaty black top. Major witchy vibes.

What are you going as for Halloween? Something scary?
