Being a student, the vast majority of my outfits consist of jeans of some variety and a nice top. Pretty basic, I know. But hey, I've never claimed to be anything more.

So when BowsBoutique reached out and wanted to collaborate, the prospect of adding a few new "nice tops" was right up my street. This is the first post of two this week but I really wanted this one to reflect something I genuinely wear on the regular. 

This black top with ruffled sleeves has already been worn multiple times and is ideal when paired with black jeans and boots for a smart-casual look in the evening but I've also been feeling it with a pair of mom jeans and some trainers. For some reason I had completely forgotten about these Adidas Stan Smiths and they had ended up in the back of my wardrobe but I think they're the ideal shoe to wear with an outfit like this. It really tones down a top that can otherwise be quite dressy. It's the Gigi Flared sleeved top and it's in a wonderful ribbed fabric that fits where it should but is oh-so-flattering. 

I wore this top last week for an evening out and when paired with an orange-red lip as it looks very chic. (Well, I think it does). You can find this and many more gems at BowsBoutique.
