Why Is France The Most Popular Holiday Destination On Earth?
Each year, France is near the top of the table for the most popular holiday destinations. It sees millions of tourists every twelve months, and there never seems to be a slow season. As someone who loves travelling, it’s a place I think you should all visit at least once. But, what’s all the fuss about? Well, here are some reasons that France is continuously the top travel destination in the world:
Paris
One word; Paris. This city is the number one reason people visit France all the time. It’s one of the most iconic and romantic places on earth. You’ll find so many legendary attractions here; The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, The Champs Elysee - and so many more. It’s the ideal place for a city break over a long weekend. But, it’s also perfect for a week-long trip with friends or family. The diversity of this destination is what makes it such a famous city. Plus, the food there is absolutely stunning as well. It’s just one of the cities you have to see before you die; everyone must-see Paris!
Wine Country
As well as beautiful cities like Paris, France is home to acres and acres of wine country. It’s one of the biggest exporters of wine in the world - and you can taste some fresh drops while you’re there. Travel deep into the heart of Alsace or Bordeaux to check out the vineyards and stay in massive country homes on Airbnb. The only downside of the wine country in France is that you’re in the middle of nowhere so the internet can be hard to come by. But, this is easily solved if you get a pocket wifi in France. These gadgets give you a mini wifi router to carry around, so you can stay connected while enjoying all the wine. You probably won’t even need your phone, but it’s nice to have in case of emergencies!
Disneyland
Of course, there’s one massive attraction that sees floods of tourists flying to France every year; Disneyland. If you’ve never been, then it’s definitely worth it. For people that live in the UK, you can get the train all the way across to Paris and then on to Disneyland with ease. But, I do suggest going there for a more extended stay. The themed hotels are so cute, and all the Disney characters are wandering around taking photos and having fun. It’s impossible to not feel happy when you’re there! Even if you don’t have kids or younger siblings, go there with your friends. You’re never too old to feel the magic of Disney - and there are so many rides and attractions to enjoy as well.
I could definitely add more things to this list - we didn’t even get to mention the sunny Southern region with loads of spectacular beaches! The point is that France is a magnificent country to travel to. So, if you’re thinking about planning your next trip, then perhaps you should brush up on your French - bon voyage!
