Brand Focus + Favourites #3: Lipstick Queen UK
Lipstick Queen is a brand that I've been aware of for quite a while - and so I decided, that it'd be only right to have them as my next brand focus because they're definitely a brand to be aware of and certainly the ultimate destination for lipstick.
The brand has an obvious focus on lip products (hence the name) and definitely found it's fame with the iconic Frog Prince lipstick* (that looks green in the bullet but changes colour). So let's break down some of my favourites & what I thought!
The Frog Prince blush and lipstick are iconic for a reason - and are genuinely brilliant so are a great way to start off with the brand. Both the blush and lipstick have the same deep green colour but once swatched or applied to lips/cheeks, they give a lovely natural rosy pink hue. The finish for the lipstick almost feels like a lip balm so it's the perfect lipstick choice for a 'no-makeup' look. Because it changes colour on the wearer's lips, it does mean you get a one of a kind lipstick shade! It's definitely buildable if you'd like a more intense pigment, but I think it looks better as a subtle wash of pink.
The Frog Prince cream blush* has a similar concept - but it gives a natural pink flush. As it's a cream blush, I'd suggest applying it with your fingertips and gently tapping it in for a natural pink hued flush!
I also really love the Nothing But the Truth Lipstick*. This is from a range called 'Nothing But the Nudes' which features a range of nudes so there's really something for everyone. Nothing But the Truth is definitely the brownest shade nude they offer but this gives a really natural finish. I'd say the finish is semi-matte but the texture of the lipstick is so creamy that it's incredibly comfortable to wear. I love the colour, I love the concept so it's definitely a win in my books.
My next lip product may be a slight surprise because I'm definitely not a lipgloss person, but I've really been channelling 90's vibes with the Alternative Universe Lipgloss in Time Warp*. You may have spotted my Kira-Kira'd Instagram story of this swatch but it's possibly one of the most glittery lipglosses I've seen! Time Warp gives off a rosy tint which means it's definitely as natural as you can get from a sparkly lipgloss! This looks fab on top of the Frog Prince lippie as it adds a little something to an otherwise natural lip colour.
And finally, a product that has quickly become an essential - the Invisible Lip Liner*. I regularly reach for bright lip colours but never have a lipliner that matches every lipstick. This silicon-based invisible lipliner has become a bit of a staple as it obviously works well with every lipstick! Depending on the lipstick I choose, I either line my lips with this or colour them in entirely. I find 'colouring' them in with the liner is ideal for drying liquid lipsticks as it creates a bit of a boundary. But otherwise, it prevents any bleeding!
Have you ever tried Lipstick Queen? Which one of my favourites do you think you'd like the most?
