Nearly all of us dream of living the high life and the luxury that comes with it. However, the reality is way more expensive than most of us can achieve, which can make it feel pretty frustrating.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some of the glamour, even if you do live on a limited budget. We’ve put together a guide to luxury living on a budget to give you some inspiration and ideas on how you can achieve it.

Start cooking at home

If you cook more at home you will save a lot more money compared to eating out or ordering takeaways. Sticking to this plan for 5/6 days of the week you’ll be able to treat yourself to go out on the weekend and enjoy a luxurious meal. If a full dinner is too much, then treat yourself to a delicious dessert instead.

Finding the cash

There are ways to get extra cash to support some of your luxury living. There are a number of short-term loans available that may be suitable for your income. Before committing to anything, ensure the company you use is FCA registered and you are getting good interest rates. Once you know you can afford the repayments, then you’ll have the extra cash to hand to enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Travel in style

By using a few smart tricks you can travel in style without having to break the bank. Because of the falling value of the pound you can take advantage by travelling to some of the cheapest countries in the world. Travelling out of season also allows you to pick up some great deals as prices are usually cheaper during these periods.

Check out thrift stores

Smart-thinking shoppers who go to some of the best thrift stores will be able to pick up some amazing second-hand bargains. A lot of the time the items have not even been worn, simply discarded by people who have too much to choose from. It takes a little more time and effort but you’ll be able to pick up big-name labels at half the price.

Use replica products

Instead of paying £5,000 for a Prada bag, why not pay £500 instead? There are some replicas available today that are almost identical and only real specialists will be able to notice the difference on close inspection. It also means you get that luxury look without having to bankrupt yourself at the same time.

Cut down on expenses

Shaving off some of your outgoings can go a long way to giving you more spending money. Making the most of your monthly money by budgeting shows how it is being spent so you can organise and plan accordingly. Use your money wisely and you will be able to enjoy those touches of luxury you crave for.

Keep an eye out for discounts

Physical retail stores are fighting an uphill battle against e-retailers, which means there are discounts near enough all year round. Making the most of sales will let you get your favourite brands for much cheaper. Or search around online, as prices are generally lower, allowing you to save your money.
