Brazillian Blow Dry x RUSH Salon Manchester Review
Manchester has pretty damn great hairdressers and in my three years of living here, I've tried my fair few. So when I was invited to try out the new Rush Salon in Manchester, I could hardly say no and opted to go for a Brazilian Blow Dry.
The salon is located in central Manchester on Deansgate and is barely a five minute walk from Piccadilly Gardens. It's very sleek and fits right in with a slick combination of glossy black and stainless steel. The staff were lovely. I had the Manager, Tony, do my hair and the process was really painless - a nice coffee helped make it a lot more bearable being sat in a chair for over an hour! The idea behind a Brazilian Blow Dry is that it's a smoothing and somewhat straightening treatment which was ideal for my frizzy/wavy hair.
I've had something similar to a Brazilian Blow dry but for those of you who haven't had one, it's fairly simple. Starting with a clarifying shampoo, your hair is blow dried and then painted with a treatment of some sort and then your hair is blow dried again. After the treatment, my hair felt like I'd chucked a whole load of dry shampoo in it - and it was 72 hours before I was allowed to wash it!
But now I've washed it, I can really feel how soft and manageable my hair is. It's frizz free and I definitely don't get those annoying kinks anymore - and no baby hair frizz when it's in a pony tail!
I had a really lovely time so thank you so much to Rush for inviting me over. If you're based near or in Manchester, I would definitely recommend giving them a try!
