A Venture into the World of Statement Jewellery

A huge trend last summer was the tassel earring - and that doesn't show any sign of slowing down this season. But I love the statement earring trend and think it's a fantastic way of adding something a lil bit different to your outfit.

As someone who favours simple and monochromatic outfits, I've really loved incorporating bright and statement jewellery into my daily looks. Go to favourites include these Mango Tassel earrings which mix both gold studs and bright tassels and these Irregular Hoop Earrings*. In Summer, I often find myself pulling my hair back into a low bun or ponytail so bold earrings are a great way for me to avoid looking like a boy and they make you look far more fashion-forward than normal. As I tend to normally go for fairly minimal necklaces, I tend to keep a few longer pendant necklaces like this Circle Necklace in Gold*. Wrap dresses and tops are going to be huge again this season and lower necklines often need a necklace to really pull together an outfit. I love pairing this necklace with a wrap top and minimal hoops - it's a really simply accessorised look but at the same time, the outfit looks pulled together and chic.
