With a degree tucked under my belt and a Masters course starting this autumn, its fair to say that I'm definitely having the full university experience. And with Freshers fun rapidly approaching, what better time to chat about the types of people you'll always meet (or will have met). And believe me, you're bound to meet some right corkers.

The "Oxbridge was my first choice"

You will always meet an academically minded individual who will mention numerous times how their current university was categorically not their first choice. I was 'lucky' enough to live with one.... Common traits might include: excessive poshness, frequent mention of private school, potential reference to family business, and mention of their A-Levels. If you're lucky, add them on Facebook for a whole new experience.

The person who "traveled" on their GAP year.

If the smell of incense drifting from their rooms in Halls doesn't give it away, then the elephant print harem pants might. If they've traveled on their GAP year, be prepared for their Facebook picture to be of them with an elephant and for their walls to be plastered with pictures from Bali. For the ultimate experience, mention that you're planning a holiday and be prepared to be assaulted with advice.

The one who lives at home.

Whilst many of your experiences will probably happen at Halls, the people that drift into your lecture hall are also worth a watch. I went to a uni that is made up of many a student who lives at home and quite frankly, they have it the best. Common traits include owning a car, full fridges and excessive amounts of cash because they don't pay bills.

The "fashionista".

There's always that girl who looks immaculate. Perfect hair, flawless makeup and a banging outfit and kudos to them! If you endeavour to achieve this status (and love my super -university friendly outift, I'd highly suggest checking out PrettyLittleThing's FRESHERS edit for the ultimate student wardrobe! (Top tips for achieving this look include keeping a rotation of basics & a few statement pieces like these pinstriped trousers. The combination of the two means you'll avoid looking like you've just rolled out of bed...)

The one who "enjoys clubbing".

Often a part of the rugby or football team, these are my worst nightmare. Whilst a night out is an essential part of the university experience, be wary of those who go out every weekend. Common traits will include hundreds of tagged club photos on facebook, snapchat stories filled with flashing lights and pounding bass, and tweets about being hungover. Sounds like my worst nightmare.

The passive aggressive labeller.

Can I get an amen from anyone who has ever lived in halls because we all know who this person is. Think labels on every item of food, a separate cupboard space, and those oh-so-helpful notes stuck to the bin that needs to be emptied, and the stack of dishes about to go mouldy.... We've all done it at some point but hun, don't let it define you.

And there we have it - the 5 people you'll always meet at university. If you've been to uni, let me know one of the people you met in the comments below!

And if you're as obsessed with this outfit as I am, don't forget to check out PrettyLittleThing's student style edit.
