Eating Italian food is a hobby of mine. There is honestly nothing about it that I don't like and I've pretty much had it all. So when I was invited back to Vapiano, it was an offer that I couldn't refuse.

Vapiano is a fairly recent addition to Manchester's growing restaurant scene and it's probably one of my favourites. Not only is the menu extensive but there is genuinely something for everyone so is ideal for large group of friends or family!

The set up of the restaurant is beautiful. Located at the heart of the Corn Exchange, the interior is light and airy - quite a contrast to typical warmer colours and styles often found at Italian restaurants.

But the food was delicious. We started off with the class Bruschetta and a Nicoise Salad (the salad was huge so definitely a good idea for sharing). The Bruschetta is completely vegan so ideal for if you have any friends with specific dietary requirments! The Nicoise salad is obviously not - but was nonetheless, really good!

And for mains, we went for the Funghi Bolognese (vegan) and the Risotti Funghi (vegetarian). Both were exactly the type of meal you crave on a winter's day! Because of Vapiano's open style restaurant, you get to watch your food being made - definitely a bit of a novelty when eating out! Both dishes were hearty, flavoursome and oh so cosy.

We really enjoyed our time at Vapiano - it's definitely worth a visit and ideal for anyone who has friends with specific dietary requirements as it's so easy to customise your meals! Delicious and really reasonably priced.

Have you tried Vapiano?
