The Flawless Base
One of the first things I learnt how to do when I first discovered makeup was applying foundation - I can't tell you how many times I watched countless juicystar07 videos and after years of practice, I've come up with a method that is perfect for my skin type!
On a typical day, I opt for concealer and blend that in but I'm off out this evening so I went for a dewy finish and used Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory.
First off (after primer), I whacked on my concealer (Rimmel True Match) and then blended it with my Miracle Complexion Real Techniques sponge* using the tip to dab over any blemishes and under my eyes so the strength of the concealer was there without it being obvious. Then, I whacked on my foundation with a detailer brush from Real Techniques and blended once again with the Flawless Finish sponge*, but this time used the flatter sides. And voila! My base was complete!
I think that a simple flawless base is a necessity for an all rounded good makeup look - once you can do the foundation in a way that doesn't look caked on, you've basically got your life sorted (well, almost). Do you have any tips and tricks?
