Getting that Glow
I'm a huge advocate for glowy skin, especially when you're on holiday and as I'm currently living it up in Vietnam, I'm trying desperately to tan and therefore look as glowy as possible.
I think ultimately, getting that dewy skin look is down to skincare - most of all a moisturising primer. I've been obsessed with the thisWorks in Transit Camera Close Up which is a 3 in 1 moisturiser, mask and primer which is ideal as it works as a moisturiser & primer! It leaves your skin wonderfully dewy but also moisturised. I also love this for travelling as it somewhat makes your skin look far softer.
Then for base options, I've been obsessed with tinted moisturisers or gels like the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel which has been a long time favourite. It gives enough coverage that it sorts out any redness but not too much that it feels like I'm wearing LOADS of makeup. Using tinted moisturisers and gels helps to keep up the dewy look and avoids your skin looking cakey. Another favourite is the NARS Sheer Radiant Tinted Moisturiser which is surprisingly high coverage for a moisturiser.
For blushes, I always look for baked options that look like they have a shimmer as this just makes you look healthy. I'm obsessed with the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso which isn't sold in the UK but you can get it on Amazon and a couple of online shops. This is a coral coloured blush that just adds dimension and helps continue to enhance that healthy glow. A similar blush is the Max Factor Baked Blush which of course, you can grab in the UK.
I'm currently piling on the bronzer as I've been channeling my inner golden goddess and a new fave has been the Barry M Deep Glow Dark Bronzer. This has a slight shimmer and is so pigmented but it looks great to give you that sunkissed look. And it's cheap.
When I have a bit of a tan, I err away from champagne toned highlights and hit up the, you've guessed it, bronzey colours. My ultimate favourite is the Laura Mercier Highlight in Indiscretion which is unfortunately limited edition but you can sometimes still find it. This was a no brainer as it's used by highlight goddess Ania Milczarczyk and is so finely milled that it gives the ultimate natural glow.
For eyes, I love the Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess Palette and the Barry M Soft Bronze Eye Pencil which are both fantastic. When I travel, I avoid bringing too many eyeshadows and this palette is perfect for getting a golden look. The eye pencil is so soft and looks phenomenal on your waterline and is basically my favourite thing ever.
And for no makeup days and my body, the NUXE Prodigieuse Oil OR which is a bronzey glittery version of the usual dry oil which makes your legs look phenomenal. I tend to tap this over my collarbones and onto my cheekbones and areas where I'd normally highlight. It looks amazing with the shimmer and of course the oil adds an extra glow.
