So, things have been a bit quiet on here because your favourite ex-Masters student (thank GOD that’s done) is two weeks into her first adult job! It’s so bizarre to think that I’m finally moving on from the university based part of my life and into the world of adulthood, but two weeks in, I’m loving it.

My job is honestly so wonderful - it’s everything I thought it could be and it genuinely obviously helps that my team all seem to be pretty great. I don’t really want to go too much into where I work because ~security~ but I work for a beauty website and am going to be writing for something that isn’t this little corner of the internet! I had no idea how (or even if) I wanted to write about my job, but I felt like I almost needed to apologise for my serious slack on the blog.

But I also really want this blog to be real, and desperately wanted to share how buzzing I’ve been about my new job - because it’s currently a dream. And as part of the realness that is my blog, I wanted to share the outfit I wore for my first day because my office is not ~corporate~ but I still wanted to look like I had put effort in. Let’s be honest - I tried on about 12 different outfits before this one… I’m very much into the whole blazer-over-a-tshirt aesthetic and not only do I think it makes me look about 100 times cooler than I am, but it really does elevate an outfit! This blazer was an absolute steal in the Next sale and is honestly so comfortable and the perfect balance between casual and put together. Paired with the dreamiest (and most comfortable) trousers from Zara (who knew my thighs would fit into Zara trousers?) and this very ~cool tshirt, we have an outfit that makes me feel like I’m on top of my emails… To finish off my girl boss aesthetic, we have these Prada sunglasses which completely show how much I’ve been into The Hills as they are very Lauren Conrad circa 2007.

So this post is fairly short and sweet but I just wanted to keep you all updated with how things are working in my real life - as I’m completely aware that the old instagram has been fairly silent lately as well. I’m just busy working in an office….
