The Gym Bag Essentials
Because I go to the gym before work, I shower there so carry with me my favourite body care choices so that I'm happy with how my body & hair feels by the time I get to work. And when you go to the gym regularly, it's so important to have the right products that just live there.
With regards to shampoo and conditioner, I do get occasional dandruff so I do bring the Neutrogena T-Gel Dandruff Shampoo with me which smells like tar but I find using it three times a week keeps my scalp in really good condition and without any embarrassing flakes. Because the shampoo smells so dreadful, I make sure my conditioner smells amazing and I've been taken back to my old school favourite of Herbal Essence Dazzling Shine Conditioner which has a citrus flavour that clings to my hair all day.
For body wash, I'm not particularly fussy as long as it smells nice. I've been working through a backlog stash of body washes and at the moment am using the Original Source Cherry and Almond Milk Moisturising Shower Milk* which smells like Drumsticks. It doesn't foam as much as I like in a body wash but I'm using it up. Another favourite is Soap&Glory Sugar Crush which is an ideal scent for early mornings.
I'm not a fan of face wipes as a cleansing solution but I do keep a packet in my bag because I wear liquid liner and there are many a day where it goes wrong. I really like Soap&Glory Off Your Face* as they are really moist and one of the better options I've seen! Sometimes if I don't remove my makeup fully the night before, it's handy to have wipes in my bag to prevent post-sweat panda eyes. It's not a risk I want to take.
Deodorant is a bit of a no brainer and again, like with body wash, I'm not particularly loyal to any particular brand as long as it has a fresh scent and lasts 48 hours. At the moment I'm using a Rexona roll on version which I got when I was in Brunei.
Because I shower at the gym more than home, I always make sure to leave a razor in there. As I'm in the process of getting my underarms lasered, this is more for my legs as sometimes I pack a skirt and forget to shave. Not brand loyal but I've learned not to go for the cheapest option as they shred my legs - I'm currently using Bic Soleil.
And finally, a good hairbrush. I've been loving Tangle Angel's Classic Brush* as it reminds me of a detangling brush yet with a handle. The brush is really beautiful and the bristles are of different heights which means it doesn't wreck my hair when I brush it. I have really thick hair so having a good hairbrush is an essential.
