How To Decorate Your Garden

Having a garden is a wonderful thing, and it opens up all kinds of opportunities to enjoy the space, no matter whether you are an expert gardener, a beginning, or you just like being outside.

Although there are a number of maintenance tasks you’ll always need to try to keep up with when it comes to your garden (or you can hire someone to help you), there are also some more frivolous things you can do that will make it look stunning. With this in mind, here are some of the best ways to decorate your garden so you can enjoy it much more.

Declutter

Even though it seems obvious, most people don't pay attention to this idea and go straight to the decoration aspect. However, sometimes, all you need to do to change your garden is get rid of the junk. Have you got broken plant pots, old bikes, or rusty tools lying around? If so, you should get rid of them right away. Take everything out of your garden that doesn't belong there, recycle what you can, and throw away the rest. If you have a patio, you should clean it up or paint it, then treat yourself to some new garden furniture to make it look wonderful and functional. Also, get rid of the weeds because they make your garden look messy and uninviting.

Use Recycled Planters

The price of a brand-new planter or container might be rather high. However, with some ingenuity and recycling know-how, you can simply construct your own at no cost. Here's a clever idea: turn empty plastic bottles into robust planters by chopping off the tops, punching holes in the bottoms, filling them with gravel, and gluing the sides back together. Old wooden pallets are another excellent material for planters, provided you have the necessary woodworking skills.

It's not just old pots and pans that can be repurposed into planters; you can also use wooden drawers, teapots, tires, tin cans, and mason jars, plus much more.

Shape Your Lawn

The best thing about this tactic is that it will work on almost any shape or size of garden with a lawn. It also costs nothing in terms of time or money. First, you need to choose a shape that will work with your lawn. It doesn't matter if the shape is square, round, or oval as long as it is well-defined and fits the look of your garden. Then, use a string or spray paint to outline the area, and use an edging spade to dig out the extra grass. With this method of shaping, you'll soon have a garden that is all your own and looks fantastic.

Install A Bird Feeder

A bird feeder probably won't make your garden seem any different than it did before in terms of how it looks, but its presence can instantly brighten the atmosphere there, and it’s great to sit and watch the birds fluttering about.

To attract birds, you need only provide them with high-quality food in an attractive feeder that works with the theme and style of the rest of the garden. Put it up where the birds can get at it without any trouble and where your cat or rodents won't be able to get to it either.
